Flight carbon emissions calculator with science-based accuracy

Flight-specific accuracy
Flight specific emissions data based on the exact aircraft, route and distance flown. Most calculators rely only on broad averages.

Best and latest science
Our methodology uses the latest DEFRA radiative forcing factors and the Google TIM aviation model for high-accuracy flight emissions estimates.

Full emissions drill-down
See what your emissions are made up of, how they were calculated and what they mean in tangible terms.

High-quality projects
Offset through verified carbon avoidance and removal projects aligned to the Oxford Principles.
At Ecologi, we’re moving away from the term “offsetting.” It’s often used to describe calculating emissions and funding equivalent carbon reductions or removal and leads to incorrect claims that impact has been fully neutralised. That framing not only risks accusations of greenwash but also overlooking the most important step: reducing emissions. That’s why we prefer an approach that emphasises the importance of all 3 steps in the process; measure the impact, do what you can to reduce it and fund action that removes emissions elsewhere. Funding verified climate action is not a substitute for decarbonisation, but a complementary step that supports real, science-aligned progress today.

How to calculate and offset your flight emissions
Using our free calculator is simple.
Projects you can trust
When using our flight emissions calculator, you'll be funding these three projects. Ecologi supports best in class climate projects that meet stringent climate, nature and social criteria. Every project is independently verified, fully traceable and evidenced on our Public Impact Ledger.
