How Ecologi assesses our impact
Before a project can be funded through Ecologi, our climate and impact team reviews its design, evidence, delivery partners and likely outcomes. We use two complementary frameworks: the Carbon Projects Assessment Framework (CPAF) for carbon projects and the Nature Projects Assessment Framework (NPAF) for nature restoration projects. Together, they help us compare quality, benefits and risk across different project types and places.

Real projects, assessed for impact
Carbon and nature projects are complex: a tree planted, tonne avoided or hectare restored is not enough on its own to show lasting impact. We look at what happens on the ground, who benefits, how outcomes are measured and what could prevent the project from succeeding. Explore our project pages for locations, activities, partners, benefits and available evidence.

Due diligence before funding
We review the developer, methodology, local context, safeguards, monitoring plan, registry or certification evidence, additionality, permanence, leakage, measurement and double-counting risks. We also consider third-party verification, local appropriateness, community benefits and how funding reaches the people delivering the work.
