UEA Sport's sustainability goals
The biggest impact you can have, is change your lifestyle
Make an active effort to reduce carbon emissions and not solely rely on offsetting
Provide support for clubs in making yearly pledges to engage their members with the aim of reducing their environmental impact
Provide training and opportunities for the uea+sport community to raise awareness and understanding, in order to promote sustainability action for the benefit of local and global communities
Aim to consistently be an exemplar to the University sport sector and remain educated and up to date with relevant news and initiatives
Make more sustainable travel options available and easily accessible e.g. training and guidance for using electric cars
Monitor and offset all annual department emissions
Promote best practice within Sportspark
Collaborate with the SU to deliver Go Green Week & UEA+MOVES initiatives that support local businesses and charities
Monitor annual club carbon emissions and work with the clubs to offset their totals by collaborating on projects
Integrate sustainability into volunteer academy and committee training and wider uea+sport department (e.g. Moves app rewards)
Embed sustainability within all club development plans
Climate projects UEA Sport has supported
Their funding directly supports climate projects all over the world
