Why support the UK Nature Fund?
Due to human activity, the UK has lost more than half its biodiversity since the Industrial Revolution.
The latest State of Nature Report found that 1 in 6 species in the UK is at risk of extinction. To mitigate this, we must reverse biodiversity losses through habitat restoration. The UK has many different habitats, on land and around our coasts, that need protecting and restoring, and through this Fund you can contribute to a range of these ecosystems.
